Sri Vinayakar Chaturthi – September 4th, 2016

We are pleased to inform you that the temple is celebrating Sri Vinayakar Chaturthi on the auspicious day of Tamil month Avani 20th (September 4th, 2016).

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesh. It is also known as Siddhi Vinayaka Chaturthi/Ganesha Chauth, and also considered the most important day to worship Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is known to be the God of wisdom and remover of all obstacles. He is worshipped first among all Gods and before starting any Pooja or ritual.

Program Details are as follows:

Morning Pooja:

9:00 am  – Sankalpam, Maha Abishekam, Special Alankaram
10:30 am – Maha Deeparadhanai, Upchara Pooja

Evening Pooja:

5:00 pm – Sankalpam, Navakalasa Pooja, Maha Ganapathi Aahwanam
5:30 pm – Moola Mantra, Mala Mantra, Gayatri Mantra Maha Yagnam
6:00 pm – Moolavar Abishekam, Alankaram
7:00 pm – Moolavar Deeparadhanai
7:30 pm – Vasantha Mandapa Pooja, Shodasa Upachara Pooja, Swami Purappadu
8:30 pm – Prasadam distribution
