RIG &YAJUR UPAKARMA (AVANI AVITTAM) – August 18 & 19, 2024

Upakarma, a Vedic ritual, is conducted once a year during Shravan/Avani month, when Brahmins ritually change their Yagnopaveetam, or sacred thread accompanied by relevant rituals such as offerings to the Rishis. On the following day, the Gayatri Mantra is recited 1008 times.

Batch 1 – Starting at 9:00 am (only one batch)

Batch 1 – 6:00 am
Batch 2 – 7:00 am
Batch 3 – 8:00 am
Batch 4 – 9:00 am
Batch 5 – 10:00 am

Devotees can participate in Yajur veda Upakarma in any one of the four batches according to their convenience.

Note : Temple will provide Yagnopaveetam, Dharbha and Akshatha etc.,
