Navaratri Vaibhavam 2016 (From Saturday, October 1st to Monday, October 10th)

We are  pleased to inform you that the temple is celebrating a Navaratri Vaibhavam for 10 days.(Tamil month Puratassi 15th to 24th, 2016).

Navaratri is a nine days festival dedicated to Goddess Durga. Navaratri is a Sanskrit word which literally means nine nights. During these nine nights and ten days, Goddess Durga is worshipped in 9 different forms, known as Navdurga. Following the nine days of rituals and worship, the 10th day is celebrated as Dussehra, which is also known as Vijay-Dashmi. It is celebrated to mark the victory of mythical King Lord Rama over the King of Sri Lanka, Ravana.

Evening Abishekam Details:

October 1st, 2nd & 3rd –  Sri Durga Abishekam
October 4th, 5th & 6th –  Sri Mahalakshmi Abishekam
October 7th, 8th & 9th –  Sri Parvathi Abishekam
October 10th          –  Vijayadashami Poojai

Evening Pooja Details :

5:45 pm – Sankalpam, Navakalasa Poojai, Homam, Devi Abishekam
7:00 pm – Concert (Kalai Nigazchi)
7:45 pm – Moolavar Deeparadhanai
8:00 pm – Golu Poojai, Deepa Poojai, “Sri Lalita Sahasranama Kunguma Archanai”
8:45 pm – Maha Deeparadhanai, Prasadam distribution

During Navaratri Vaibhavam, every evening our temple is organizing Carnatic Music Peformances for our devotees.
