A Carnatic Music Concert by Dr. Padma Sugavanam on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 6.30 pm.

Dr. Padma Sugavanam is a gold medalist from the University of Madras in Indian Music.  Winner of several awards for musical performances, she is an A- Grade artiste of Prasar Bharati (All India Radio) since 2002.  She also performs regularly in the ‘Nada Nirajanam’ programme conducted by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC), Tirupati.

Dr. Padma has given several performances in leading music Sabhas (including Music Academy, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Nada Inbam etc.) all over India, and has completed four international tours.

Many of us will remember her excellent performances as a part of T.T.Devasthanams’ ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ programme in Canada in Nov 2012.

She will be accompanied by Arun Ramachandran on Mridangam.  Arun does not need any introduction to the music lovers of Toronto.
