Thai Pongal – January 14th, 2017

We are pleased to inform you that the temple is celebrating a Thai Pongal  2017 on the current auspicious Durmukhi year (Saturday, January 14th). Thai Pongal is mainly celebrated to convey appreciation to the Sun God for providing the energy for agriculture.

All devotees are cordially invited to participate on this festive occasion with family and friends.

9:10 am – Navagraha Abhishekam
9:20 am – Special “Pongal Poojai”, Surya Poojai
9:40 am – Upchara Poojai
9:50 am – Mahadeeparadhanai, Prasadam distribution

Makara Jyothi Poojai
Evening Pooja Schedule:
6:00 pm – Maha Sankalpam
6:15 pm – Maha Abhishekam(Ayyappan)
6:45 pm – Makara Jyothi Darshanam
7:00 pm – Upchara Poojai
7:30 pm – Mahadeeparadhanai, Prasadam distribution
