Our temple is organizing a Carnatic Music Concert for our devotees on Shivaratri Vaibhavam – (Friday 24th, Feb 2017).

Artists & Biography:

Vocal: Shradha Ganesh
She is a young budding musician living in Canada. She has been learning Carnatic Music since the age of 4.
She learns Carnatic Music from her Grandmother Smt.Parvathy Raman and Shri.K.N.Shashikiran (Carnatica brothers) under whose tutelage has blossomed into a very promising prospect. She has also won many awards in her musical journey thus far. She had the opportunity to perform in various locations around the world such as countries like Canada, USA, UAE, etc., She has been performing in prestigious sabhas in Chennai during the December Music season. Shradha is a 12th grade student at Cawthra Park Secondary School.

Violin: Arraby Senthilselvan
She started learning the Lalgudi Bani style of Violin under the tutelage of Smt. Dr. Lakshmi Jayan at the age of 9. Having graduated from the Lalgudi School of Music in 2005, she performed her arangetram and since then has accompanied and played solo concerts in Violin in London, England. She recently received the title ‘Kalai Mani’ bestowed upon her by the University of Madras. She is new to Canada but has already played a few concerts in Toronto and started training students on Violin and Vocal.

Mridangam: Sriram Balasubramanian
He underwent training from Late Sri.Ramanathapuram Kandaswamy Pillai for more than 7 years, who was a direct disciple of the legendary Master Palani Subramania Pillai. Sriram has accompanied various artists in Dubai, Muscat and in Toronto; seeking advanced training from Sangeetha Kalanidhi and Maestro, Prof Trichy Sankaran, who himself is a loyalist of the rich Pudukkottai style and the Palani Bani.

All devotees are cordially invited to attend with family and friends and partake the blessings of Lord Kailasanathar.
